We are aware of a bug relating to save files as we work on updating and creating versions, so I apologize now for any inconvenience relating to loading old saves from build one. (SAVE OFTEN)

I absolutely loved it! I'm so excited for the next build! Honestly, I didn't see the ending of the build 2 scene coming at all—it gave me major goosebumps! You did an amazing job! I also spent some time re-reading Kezza's dialogue because his way of speaking is quite unique 😅. I can't wait to see more!❤️

The games is good can't wait for the new update

My attention span has been slowly dwindling (thanks TikTok lol) but I had no issue finishing the first build all in one sitting. Very much enjoyed it so far and can't wait to see where this VN goes!

Not sure if this is just me or if anyone else has has issues with downloading the new build. The zipped file says 2.0, but when I open it there is only build 1.0 inside

Not a bug, I'm simply dumb and don't know how to change it <3

Just found the vn and spent the whole day reading it and I must say, I'm absolutely hooked. The story, premise, art, character, all of it is great and wonderfully done. I've read some of your thoughts about certain scenes and it shone a new light to the mc and characters, in a good way. Of course, besides absolutely adoring the horror aspect of the story, I also love the romance and I'm excited to see more of both. Overall, I absolutely loved reading the current content and am super excited to see more.

Constructive criticism time! (Beware of SPOILERS beyond the 1st paragraph.)
Also I apologize in advance for the wall of text.
Opinions about the build and story at the bottom.

I do like different line transitions, and when the author of a VN plays with the text, but one of the effects added in the 2nd build were in my opinion used too frequently in the latest build. Specifically the text sliding in.
It was in my opinion used too often for it to have an impact when used in later instances in the build. Though that could simply be due to misplaced expectations due to how rare other text-effects have been used so far.

Another critique I have is that some of the information leading to the outburst felt too sudden. To clarify: I'm not critiquing the outburst itself - as it seems to be written to set some expectations about the MC's mental state going forward. I'm talking about the reveal during the shopping, that ultimately led to it.
I'm going to reference one of my all time favorite authors here, on how he does these reveals in a way that both foreshadows it, yet hides it till the "reveal": Brandon Sanderson. One thing he excels at is giving information that is the cornerstone for a later reveal or twist, distracts the reader with everything else going on, then later reveals the twist built on that information. Making the reveal a moment of "I should have seen that coming, but I didn't!"

One minimalistic way this could be applied to this case (though I'm no author, and your artistic vision trumps anything any of us say, so feel free to ignore this bit):
-SPOILER-

- Reveal the information about the MC's salary early (somewhere within build 1's content). But not the context. Aka, the amount or standard, but not how much that covers in his new home. Perhaps even a line stating that it's a very decent, perhaps even good salary (on Titan). Maybe better than what he had to live off before.

The rest of the information revealed in that part of the build I feel don't necessarily need more foreshadowing, as they are tied to that little piece of information, and his mental state.

----

Now for my opinions on this build (and the story so far):
I'm so far really enjoying this story. Since it's very early in development I'm assuming there will be more sprites for minor NPCs arriving as this game develops?
The improved background for the dorm room is very much appreciated, especially now that it has two beds.
One thing that kept pleasantly surprising me throughout the build was the length. I've played too many ongoing VNs, so I was expecting the build to end at several spots, just for it to oh so joyously continue.
-SPOILER-

I didn't suspect that the MC and Kai's relationship would go the way it did as fast as it did, and I personally like it. Though I must say, the club scene gave me some serious second hand embarrassment.

thanks so much for the feedback, I appreciate it! I was actually considering going back into build one and adding some introspection about the MC being happy that he's atleast getting paid for it... even if he'd rather just be home. Im still happy to go back and follow through with that idea, but adding content into a build one during a build 3, not many people will go back and read that... even then, it's still worth it to do so. The text effects are used only during high emotional scenes/ horror scenes,  and this build is highly emotional and horrifying haha. When you counteract it with the pace of build three, it will feel more normal I believe.

As for the outburst, yeah I've mentioned before it has 0 to do with money or finances, it's about eco realizing that he cant escape his people's past. His over the top reaction is meant to lend itself to his mental condition... other vns have a character that sees their friends and the world go insane around them... my vn is the opposite. You're going insane and everyone else around you is normal (hence the glitched kai sprites). Obviously if the MC only had an over the top reaction only during expected and reasonable times... then he'd be an expectant and reasonable character, which he was never meant to be.

Yes, more sprites are added in for every build! Build 3 will include vulterus and kezza.

Kai and eco's relationship will make a lot more sense in build 3 :)

Trying for some constructive criticism below.

Spoilers for builds 1 & 2 below.

The scene where the MC blew up on his friends for saying what they thought his life was like felt wayyyyyyyy to early in my opinion. We not only never got to know much about atticus, acadia, or Eco before hand but also didn't get much info on his home life before hand as well. The VN gave me the impression that it wasn't the greatest but it wasn't that bad until he blew up and we got more info. This scene had very little build up and was a bit out of nowhere. As a result, the impact it gave felt very damp. Like don't get me wrong, I feel bad for him but after he handled kai being taken away so poorly as well, it feels more like he's gonna just gonna blow up at anything that makes him slightly mad.

This scene would've had a lot more impact if we just got it later down the line maybe after the MC struggles to get the money to pay for stuff, maybe after a big fight , etc. just something more to warrant the big explosion he had and give it more oomph.

Thanks for the comment <3 I appreciate any and all feedback. In my mind, the purpose of the scene is sort of just that... to show that the MC will blow up at anything that makes him mad, which inevitably results in him being more isolated and distant with the other characters. The vibe after from Eco was literally "Yo... Okay I need to chill TF out..." Because he KNEW he shouldn't have blown up like that. The randomness of the scene was meant to lend itself to the concept that the MC is not in his right mind (which he isn't) but that he's also self aware of it. This, on top of his deep seeded guilt over the great separation, which is unique to him, is what caused it. He's mad, not at his friends, but at himself, because the remorse that he feels over the great separation is the EXACT reason that he's here... even if he doesn't want to be. It's because this guilt he feels deep down is the exact reason that he got tasked with this responsibility that he never signed up for... He wishes he could be like the other Solarians, and be proud of it... but he can't... "You want me to apologize for what happened during the great separation? Well I WON'T!" Even though we as the reader KNOW that he should. That's what brings the scene the "oomph", and it also sets the theme for the rest of the visual novel. It's the expression of doing ones duty, in contrast with following ones heart. Atticus and Acadia are MEANT to be these egotistical self absorbed narcissists like the rest of their people, but their not. Kai is MEANT to be this stalwart zealot of the faith, BUT HE ISN'T. Vulterus, I can't spoil, but he follows a very similar path for build 3. That scene is never meant to be taken at face value, because of how much it represents in terms of theme and tone, which is why it needed to happen early on. It's not ABOUT the MC, it's about reinforcing the concept that no matter what has happened in the past with any of the characters, we are here for a reason, and that reason transcends our personal desires. In short, the characters have to "Do what must be done." Which is the motto of the entire visual novel :D

From that scene forward youre unsure when the MC's next big overrraction is, and that is meant to create tension. The fact that you're feeling domething along the lines of "I wouldn't have reacted like that, why did the mc? Its not a normal reaction" Exactly! The mc wouldn't have reacted like that either normally... but he did... why? It came out of the blue!  Is this because of starsickness? Is this because he's psycho? Is this because he's just an emotional wreck? Is it because he's just an asshole? Questions we need to answer through the story! At the end of the day, you are reading from the first person present perspective of a character with a condition that makes them more or less insane, which should result in one or two emotional overrractions. This perspective (usually) isn't touched in in VNS for this exact reason... it's jarring, sudden, and at times unexpected and irrational. To me, this is a good thing! If everything happened at an expected pace... then it would be just that... expected and rational.

But as with any art form, not everyone is going to get it, and it's not going to be for everyone, and that's okay! I appreciate you taking the time to comment, and I appreciate you giving it a shot, even if it ended up not being your perfect cup of tea. I hope in the future, it can be something you enjoy <3
