After war ravages the Solarian system, the defeated species of Earth are exiled to the Andromeda galaxy. Millennia later, the warring factions have evolved and forgiven, agreeing to reconnect with one another and share their cultures. Peace seems to be a fleeting promise when diplomats and
civilians alike are mysteriously murdered at the hands of an unknown assailant. Terror and fear grips the city as the killer is on the prowl, and you find yourself locked in the middle of the investigation.
You play as the diplomat sent from the Solarian system, and have to fight to overcome the struggles and challenges of this strange new world with the help of your friends.
Solve the case, protect the people you care about, explore the world, and fall in love through "Reconnected"! A one of a kind horror/mystery/romance visual novel. Always remember, Things on Zenalyr are Rarely What they Seem to Be.
This VN is in Beta, and many character sprites are still missing! It's being worked on daily, and will be updated frequently!

A pretty good start, and longer than I expected from a first build. Looking forward to where this goes.
Also kudos to having a shower scene that actually had meaning later. I felt my eyes roll back in my skull when it came, then was very pleasantly surprised when it had meaning later.
So glad you enjoyed it! Most all of the dialogue options will be weighted towards the endings, and have results later on in the story (There are a few exceptions to this of course because I want the visual novel to be interactive :D) I can't wait for you to read the next update! I really enjoyed reading first build and already can't wait for next one! Do you have any plans to open something simillar to patreon like boosty? I have troubles with Patreon in my country(Russia) but i'd love to support the vn

Not a bad first build! I'd have liked a bit more consideration into the realism of space travel. I think it would've helped the world building. Since the MC is from Titan, he'd've had some trouble adjusting to a planet's high gravity and would not be used to a natural atmosphere with different gas concentrations. This might've been a bit more realistic than the 'star sickness' approach you took. I'm a massive sucker for hard sci-fi, so I am definitely biased in this opinion though! Otherwise it was a great first build and I am looking forward to seeing how the story progresses!
Super interesting idea! Thanks so much for the feedback <3 the reasoning I took with my approach was the playable character spent the last two months in training to adjust to Zenalyr's planetary conditions, and getting used to space travel! I also (albeit briefly) mentioned the teraforming generators on his home that adjust the planet to be more or less standardized to other habitable planets. I could definitely go back and add in more Sci-Fi to those descriptions!
As for the star sickness, well I guess you'll just have to read the next section when it comes out to see what happens in regards to that haha 😉

My only criticism is Arcadia. She needs to be rework. The idea of her being salty to Eco throughout isn’t appealing

It was ok, just needs to be finalized. And I see the reasons why but maybe tune it down a bit since Eco is clearly the good guy here
I disagree with the notion that Eco is clearly the good guy since to me, he has a tendency to be pretty dickish shortly after meeting other people. I figured that was intentional though, since the story seems to be about overcoming prejudices and snap judgements, of which Eco, as well as everybody else, is guilty.
Is the story linear? I feel the choices are there just for brief alternate reactions and no impact towards the story.
There are multiple endings, and your choices have serious weight!
